Recruiter (Medicare Insurance) – Remote (1099 Independent Contractor)
Davis Capital I Insurance Inc. is a Medicare-focused health insurance agency dedicated to helping Medicare-eligible individuals find the right coverage with confidence. We’re growing and looking for a motivated Recruiter to help us attract and hire top-performing sales and support talent.
Position Summary
The Recruiter will manage end-to-end recruiting for roles such as Medicare Sales Agents, Customer Service/Retention Specialists, and other agency support positions. This is a remote 1099 independent contractor role and is ideal for a recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Own full cycle recruiting for core agency roles (primarily Medicare sales and customer support).
Partner with hiring managers to confirm role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and hiring priorities.
Write, post, and manage job ads and recruiting campaigns across multiple channels (Indeed, LinkedIn, referrals, etc.).
Proactively source candidates and build an ongoing pipeline using outreach, networking, and sourcing tools.
Conduct phone/video screens to evaluate experience, communication skills, and job fit.
Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and maintain a strong candidate experience throughout the process.
Support offer stage, documentation collection, and onboarding handoff to internal teams.
Track pipeline activity accurately in the Recruiting system (stages, notes, outcomes) and provide recruiting updates.
Continuously improve recruiting workflows, messaging, and screening processes to increase quality and speed.
Qualifications
Required
Recruiting experience (agency or in-house), including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews.
Strong phone presence and ability to build rapport quickly with candidates.
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple open roles simultaneously.
Proficiency with ATS systems, job boards, LinkedIn, and Google Workspace/Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
Preferred
1+ years of recruiting experience in a health insurance agency.
Experience recruiting for sales and/or call-center/customer support roles.
Familiarity with Medicare agency roles (Medicare Sales Agent, Enrollment Specialist, Retention Specialist, CSR, Team Lead).
High-volume recruiting experience.
Understanding of insurance licensing basics (or willingness to learn quickly).
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
1099 Independent Contractor Classification (Important)
This position is a 1099 independent contractor role. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, invoicing, and business expenses, and will provide their own workspace and equipment necessary to perform the work.
